The core characteristics of a follower that I possess are that of self direction, proactive, transformer and motivator.

Leaders’ effectiveness is measured by the amount of influence a leader has on individual and group performances, follower satisfaction and overall effectiveness (Derue N, et al., 2011). My personal experience with the LTQ was that I became self-conscious at first with my response to each item.

Every leader wants a loyal follower in his or her team, which is beneficial for both. It is also important to remember that benefit comes with loyalty (Chaleff, 1995). Recognizing the existing opportunity and making full use of it is another characteristic for a good follower.
